Assistance from our registered social worker to help individuals navigate paperwork, applications, and related needs. Support includes:
- Advocacy Support — Assistance in connecting and corresponding with community partners and empowering individuals to access supports and services.
- Housing Assistance — Aid in applying for emergency housing programs and income-geared (subsidized) housing options.
- Income & Benefits Support — Guidance with applications for income supports, tax credits, and benefits, including the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), Ontario Works (OW), and Canada Pension Plan-Disability (CPP-D).
- Mental Health Supports — Emotional guidance, coping strategies, and referrals to address challenges after brain injury, such as depression, anxiety, stress, isolation, or adjustment difficulties. This includes facilitating access to peer support groups, social programs, and community mental health resources to promote well-being.
- Printed Materials & Correspondence Help — Support in completing forms, understanding received documents, assessing responses, and following up.
