Participation Industries (PI) is open to anyone with a Physical Disability over the age of 18. This program provides daily activities to help maintain and learn life skills that are needed to succeed in daily life. This program also offers, navigation, money management, outings, safety, socialization, daily exercise, job coaching, cooking, knowledge of computers and many more exciting activities.
Chrysalis Day Club is offered to brain injury survivors and is a member driven club. You must be 18 years or older. Our goal is to not only focus on individual needs, but to create an atmosphere that provides opportunities for our clients to continually grow and develop through socialization, daily exercise improving balance and mobility, problem solving activities, stimulating brain function and boosting self-esteem through games and puzzles

Community-based service for individuals who have sustained a brain injury. Healthcare team may include those specializing in psychiatry, physiatry, neuropsychology, occupational therapy, and social work. The ABI program is for any individual who has sustained a mild to moderate brain injury, is 16 years of age or older, resides in Windsor-Essex County, and has experienced problems with cognition, behaviours, emotions, and daily living. Requires a referral from a primary health care professional

Provides rehabilitative services to the Windsor and Essex County community, enriching the lives of children and youth with special needs by helping them reach their full potential. Therapy staff includes healthcare professionals and support staff who work closely with the child and their family to provide assessment and treatment to meet their individual goals. Depending on need, therapy services are offered in community schools, our JMCC School, in the home, and at childcare centres.

Provides neuropsychological assessments to individuals ranging from preschoolers through senior adults.
Work with individuals who have known or suspected neurological, medical, or neurodevelopmental disorders across the lifespan. Seek to describe patterns of ability, clarifying strengths and weaknesses. Services are provided by graduate students under the supervision of faculty member neuropsychologists who are registered psychologists and members of the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
In some cases, services may be provided directly by faculty members who are registered psychologists.
Available services vary depending on the University of Windsor academic schedule.
Not all services are available at all times throughout the year.
Fees for service are charged on a sliding scale based on family income.

Snow Angels – City of Windsor Snow Removal

To qualify to receive the service, you must be: 65 years of age or older, or under 65 years of age with a disability.
There must be no additional able-bodied adults living at the address. New registrants will be put on a waiting list and contacted when a volunteer becomes available.
Upon being matched with a registered volunteer the following service will be provided:
Clearing of snow from City sidewalks – Any snow removal beyond the tasks listed above is of the volunteer’s own accord and not as a City of Windsor Volunteer requirement. If you are already enrolled in the program, you are not required to reapply each year.
Before each winter season, you will be contacted to confirm your interest in the program.

Those suffering from MS, Parkinson’s, Heart and Stroke Survivors, ABI’s, Alzheimer’s, Dementia and Mental Illness are supervised by highly trained, experienced professionals in a safe, home-like environment.
On site Nursing ensures that care plans are developed promoting health and wellness, independence and quality of life.
Facility is wheelchair accessible, is secured and can accommodate those who are physically and/or cognitively impaired.
Program features low patient to caregiver ratios and offers a variety of physically and mentally stimulating programs including baking, gardening, music, as well as pet and art therapy, other amenities.
