Rachel leads the organization’s efforts in advocacy, education and support for individuals affected by brain injuries. With several years of involvement at BIAWE as Secretary to the Board, member of the Education Committee, Conference Committee, Helmets for Kids program, facilitator of Art Class and Coffee Chats, Rachel is dedicated to enhancing awareness and providing resources that improve the quality of life for those living with brain injuries.

Danielle’s background is in Social Work where she has obtained a Master of Social Work degree.  In her professional background she has experience working with people who are living with a brain injury, mental health, addictions, and homelessness.  She is currently employed at the Erie St. Clair LHIN.

Rebeca is a Personal Support Worker and Social Service Worker-Gerontology. She works at a local long-term care home. She loves being the Social Coordinator because she gets to share her passions for creativity and helping others with a group of amazing people. 

She also facilitates the Young Adult Peer Support Group.

Debbie Boose has been an active member with BIAWE for many years as well as a caregiver for her husband who sustained a TBI in 1996. With over 20 years of volunteer work at BIAWE serving on committees, organizing golf tournaments, holiday parties, working bingos, doing helmet fittings and bicycle giveaways, and providing information to the public, Debbie’s ambition, experience, and unwavering commitment will be an asset to her role as Volunteer Coordinator.

Christine Paris is a Windsor based visual artist, an educator, and a writer – who loves to explore colour and who is always looking for ways to use art to engage the community in a worthwhile cause.

“For me, my artwork is about freeing myself enough through artistic expression to try to find an alchemy between the colours, the feeling of the colours and how they can express my human and ethereal experience in this world.”

Alice has a bachelor of arts degree in communication studies and a diploma of advertising business. 

She enjoys helping out and being involved in the community with youth group at church, vacation bible school for young children and as PR at South Windsor Skating Club.

She loves music and singing.  She has been a church choir coordinator for 30 years.  Recently she joined the WSO Chorus for more community concerts.  She believes music is the best cure.

Lauren is a recent graduate at the University of Windsor for Social Work and continues her career in gerontology. She is passionate about working with BIAWE from her personal experiences and drives to help others. She is looking forward to working with BIAWE members and staff to create a positive and fun environment for everyone!

Lisa’s education background includes degrees in Social Work and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She has many years of experience working in a residential facility for individuals with persistent serious mental illness and with the homeless population in Windsor. She will be managing client intake, client services, facilitating support programs and offering mental health support for clients.

Rune graduated with a combined degree in Social Work and Women’s & Gender Studies along with a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Windsor. Their professional background is working with individuals with disabilities and in residential settings including long term care and group homes. Rune currently works in private practice, primarily with neurodivergent families, individuals with brain injuries, and the 2SLGBTQ+ community. 
Rune is looking forward to supporting both youth and older adults in the community through support groups at BIAWE.

Caitlyn is a Registered Social Worker with a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Windsor and over seven years of experience supporting children, youth, and families in diverse settings. She has worked extensively with individuals facing mental health challenges, disabilities, and involvement in the child welfare system.
Caitlyn’s professional background includes roles in advocacy, residential care, crisis response, and developmental support. She has served as an advocate at the Windsor Essex Child/Youth Advocacy Centre, supporting over 120 families affected by abuse or trauma. She is skilled in crisis intervention, case management, and collaborative care planning, with a strong commitment to empowering vulnerable populations.
